India’s women’s cricket team will look to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match T20 series against Bangladesh in the third game at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium today. Having dominated the first two matches, India aims to continue their winning streak.
India’s bowling unit has been impressive, with spinners Deepti Sharma, Radha Yadav, and Shreyanka Patil keeping Bangladesh’s scoring low. Renuka Singh Thakur and Pooja Vastrakar have also shone in the pace department.
In the batting department, Dayalan Hemalatha’s explosive 24-ball 41 in the last game, along with solid contributions from Shafali Verma, Yastika Bhatia, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Richa Ghosh, have put India in a strong position. However, star opener Smriti Mandhana hopes to regain form.
For Bangladesh, improvements are needed across the board. Their batters have struggled to post competitive totals, bowlers have lacked consistency, and fielding errors have added to their woes. To stay in the series, they must improve in all areas.
