Cong Supports Muslim Reservations For Appeasement Politics: Basavaraj Bommai

It is clear in the constitution that no reservation based on religion is allowed. Even so, the Congress appeasement politics for reservation of Muslims, former Chief Minister and BJP candidate from Gadag Haveri Lok Sabha constituency Basavaraj Bommai said.
Answering a question about the National Commission for Backward Classes’ objection that no reservation based on religion is allowed, he said that there are 24 castes including Chapparaband, Nadaf, Pinjar among Muslims who are very backward, and that they already have reservation in 2A. He added that they were given an additional 4 percent reservation. The Backward Classes Commission has objected to the same, and now that case is in the Supreme Court, he asked to wait.
Responding to the statement that the Congress will redistribute the property if it comes to power, he said that it feels very good to ask for the property. But, he said that a survey has to be conducted to check who will take what belongs to whom.
He further added that the constitution also includes the right to property like freedom of speech, and Congress is working against the dialogue. Those who were in a position of responsibility should not talk like this, Basavaraj Bommai said.
