Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur expressed on Wednesday that the people of Delhi feel betrayed by the corruption of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which has led to their leader being jailed. Thakur accused AAP of widespread corruption, ranging from water to liquor, alleging that Arvind Kejriwal secured votes through deceit. He criticized AAP leaders for disrespecting institutions like the prime minister and the Election Commission, accusing them of spreading chaos.

Speaking to BJP workers in his hometown of Samirpur, Hamirpur district, to celebrate his father and former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal’s 81st birthday, Thakur predicted the INDIA block, led by the Congress, will suffer a significant defeat. Thakur, contesting from the Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat, expressed confidence in the BJP forming a government at the Center for the third consecutive term under PM Modi’s leadership.

Thakur emphasized his family’s dedication to public service and sought blessings from the family deity, Maan Awahdevi, at a local temple. He rebutted Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s accusations of BJP using money to seize power, asserting that voters prioritize development. Thakur affirmed widespread support for Modi across the country and predicted BJP victories in both the Lok Sabha elections and Himachal Pradesh assembly by-elections. The event also included a blood donation drive, demonstrating community engagement.
