Prime Minister Narendra Modi who will visit Mangaluru on April 14, will address the public at Gold Finch City, Bangrakulur at 3 pm. BJP State General Secretary and State Convener for the party’s Lok Sabha Election Management Committee V Sunil Kumar, told media persons that a large number of people is expected to gather, potentially surpassing the record set during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s past visits to Dakshina Kannada district.The Prime Minister’s visit is expected to boost enthusiasm among party workers, he said. Meanwhile, from April 15 to 17, the party’s State President and all prominent leaders, including MLAs and candidates will visit houses as part of the door-to-door campaign. This will be held in districts going to polls in the first phase in Karnataka. On April 10 and 11, a booth-level Maha Prachar Abhiyan will be held in 58,000 booths across the state. The election campaign will focus on Surakshith Bharat, Samskrutika Bharat, and Vikasita Bharat.
When asked about Uttara Kannada MP Anantkumar Hegde not extending support to BJP candidate Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, Sunil said the party will work unitedly and that he would be with Kageri when he files his nomination.
Sunil Kumar said the Naxals and other forces have gained more momentum after the Congress government came to power in the state. The state government must show courage and put an end to the movement that is creating fear in society, he said.
