Dharwad
Minister Santosh Lad stated that it cannot be determined what consequences may arise if Mr. Dingaleshwar were to contest the election. In a media address held in the city, it was emphasized by him that Dingaleshwar Sri holds considerable influence, boasting support from various societal sectors. The spiritual institution he belongs to transcends the confines of Dharwad district, serving the entire state. Lad highlighted the potential uncertainties that may arise should Dingaleshwar contest the election.
Lad also commented on the prevailing political climate, noting a perceived decline in Prime Minister Modi’s popularity and a loss of trust in the BJP among the populace. He criticized the BJP for allegedly resorting to falsehoods for gaining favor and accused them of neglecting their responsibilities over the past decade. Lad further lamented the extensive time Modi has spent campaigning across states in the past ten years, suggesting that this has overshadowed other promotional efforts.
It was asserted by Lad that Modi has been elevated to a status surpassing that of the nation itself, with his brand taking precedence over all else. Lad expressed dismay at the perceived lack of substantive engagement beyond soliciting votes.
