The much-anticipated film “Dasavarenya Shri Vijayadasaru,” portraying the life and teachings of the revered Haridasas, is all set to hit the screens on April 12. The announcement was made by the film crew, who provided details about the upcoming release.
After the success of “Shri Jagannathadasaru,” which garnered widespread acclaim, followed by “Shri Prasannavenkatadasaru” last year, expectations are high for the latest venture focusing on the eminent Haridasa, Shri Vijayadasaru. The film, scheduled for release on April 12, is directed by Madhusudan Havaldar and produced by Trivikram Joshi, who also plays the role of Vijayadasaru. Shrilatha appears as Vijayadasaru’s wife, Aralamma, while the supporting cast includes Prabhanjan Deshpande, Vijayanand Nayak, and former MLA Basavangouda, among others. Vijayakrishna provides the musical score, with J.M. Pralhad handling the screenplay and dialogues. Shooting took place in locations like Hampi and Kanakagiri, as confirmed by director Madhusudan Havaldar.
“In Kannada cinema, there hasn’t been a film centered specifically on Haridasas after “Navakoti Narayana” and “Bhakta Kanakadasa.” It has been several years since the release of such a film. After “Shri Jagannathadasaru,” followed by “Shri Prasannavenkatadasaru,” the latest addition, “Dasavanya Shri Vijayadasaru,” is eagerly awaited. Personally, being an engineer and entrepreneur, I have been active in politics for many years. I have taken on the role of Vijayadasaru and contributed to the making of this film not to earn money but to deliver a significant message to society. I have witnessed people being deeply moved by “Shri Jagannathadasaru” upon its release. Ticket bookings for this film have already begun overseas. I urge everyone to extend their support to this film,” expressed producer and actor Trivikram Joshi.
