Navdeep Rinwa, Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Electoral Officer, announced that Voter Information Slips will be issued to all voters registered in the electoral roll for the Lok Sabha General Election-2024.
These slips will include essential details such as the part number and name in the electoral roll, serial number, name of the polling station, date of voting, and a QR code on the front side.
On the reverse side, there will be a map of the polling station, the name and contact number of the Booth Level Officer (BLO), details of alternative documents for voting, and other important instructions.
In addition to the voter information slip, each family will receive a colorful Voter Guide in Hindi. This guide explains the voting process through EVMs with pictures and details the facilities provided by the Election Commission of India (ECI) through apps like Saksham-ECI, Voter Helpline App, Know Your Candidate App, and C-Vigil App.
The guide also provides information about voter registration, voting procedures, voting options for disabled individuals and senior citizens, and postal ballot facilities.
According to ECI instructions, voter information slips will be distributed to registered voters from nine days before the voting date until five days before the polling date. These slips will be handed out by the BLO to registered voters or any adult family member upon signing the register.
