The Tamil Nadu BJP criticized Chief Minister M.K Stalin for not speaking out against the use of abusive and derogatory language by state Animal Husbandry Minister Anitha Radhakrishnan towards PM Modi at a public event in Thoothukudi. They also condemned the silence of Stalin’s sister, Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, who is the DMK candidate for the Thoothukudi Lok Sabha seat.
In a statement, the Tamil Nadu BJP expressed strong disapproval, describing Radhakrishnan’s remarks as disrespectful towards Prime Minister Modi, who comes from a humble background and has dedicated his life to serving the people of India. They criticized Kanimozhi for not denouncing the offensive language and even seemingly endorsing it, which they described as contradictory to her claims of supporting feminism.
The BJP asserted that the people of Tamil Nadu would respond appropriately to the DMK in the upcoming elections and suggested that the DMK’s political influence would decline. BJP Tamil Nadu President K. Annamalai condemned the DMK leaders’ behavior and announced plans to take up the matter with the Election Commission and the Director-General of Police in Tamil Nadu, urging strict and immediate action against Minister Anitha Radhakrishnan.
