Must read

In the upcoming months, commuters traversing the Outer Ring Road (ORR) in the city will encounter traffic disruptions as the state government greenlights a comprehensive project aimed at addressing potholes and uneven surfaces along various stretches.

The decision by the BBMP to embark on a nine-month endeavor to overhaul the ORR’s asphalt surfaces will impact motorists accessing numerous multinational corporations and technology parks.

To facilitate smoother travel experiences, the BBMP has initiated tenders totaling Rs 7.5 crore to rectify depressions and smoothen the jagged surfaces of the ORR flyovers.

Manjula Aravind Limbavali, MLA of Mahadevapura constituency, announced the imminent commencement of repair work on social media platform X. Limbavali affirmed that the resurfacing of Outer Ring Road flyovers will kick off within the next two months, with completion slated within nine months. He further added that after persistent efforts and escalations to BBMP authorities, they have secured the green light for the project.

Acknowledging community concerns, MLA Limbavali reassured constituents, asserting, ‘We are committed to expediting pending works and ensuring timely completion’.

Repair initiatives are scheduled to launch along pivotal ORR junctures, including HSR Layout 14 Main Road, Agara, Sarjapur Road junction, Bellandur, Devarabisanahalli, Doddanekkundi, and Mahadevapura, signifying a proactive approach toward enhancing Bengaluru’s infrastructure and commuting experience.
