Projects Are Worthwhile When Used Responsibly, Minister  Madhu Bangarappa

Schemes such as Tunga river north bank pedestrian bridge, promenade, public bicycle should be used responsibly by the public. School Education and Literacy and District In-charge Minister Madhu Bangarappa said that it will be useful only when it is used in this way.

He spoke while opening the Tunga River Front Project and the Public Bicycle Project, built by  Smart City Limited, to the public on Monday.

The work was done with 50.50 percent grant from the Central and State Governments and the Tunga River Front Project was constructed at a cost of Rs.103 crores. The public should realise that these projects are their property and maintain them with cleanliness and care. He said that the authorities should ensure that no untoward incident takes place in the park, such as security system, installation of CCTV, electric lights at night, so that women and children do not face any problem. 

MLA SN Channabasappa said that the smart city works are good and the work of opening them to the public has been done. The efforts and hard work of many leaders are involved in the sanctioning and implementation of this Smart City project, he said.

Former MLC Ayanur Manjunath, former Municipal Corporation Member Yogesh, Ganni Shankar, Dhirraj Honnavile, Shabana Khanam,  Director Lakshmi Gopinath, Smart City Managing Director K Mayanna Gowda, Chief Engineer Ranganath and officers and staff were there.
