The district is a suitable for tourism, Lakshmi R Hebbalkar, Minister of Women and Child Development, Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and Senior Citizens and District In-charge Minister said that more emphasis will be given to tourism in the coming days. While presiding over the inauguration ceremony of businessman Uday Kumar Shetty’s new hotel Yuva Manish in Kundapur, the Minister said that efforts will be made in every way for the development of the district.

After becoming the in-charge Minister of district, she has visited most of the temples in the district. The Minister said that this is a holy place.
An outline will be prepared for the construction of a corridor road between Udupi-Mangalore-Bangalore. Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar said that this will help the hotel industry and tourism in the district. Everyone should join hands for the development of the district. He also said that entrepreneurs should be given more opportunities.
