Bikere Nagesh, Who Served As Private Secretary To Many Central Ministers, Passed Away

Bikere Nagesh, a Public Relations expert and secretary to several Union Ministers in New Delhi, passed away on Tuesday at a private hospital in he city.  Nagesh is survived by his wife Suguna and daughter Arpita.

Nagesh, who served as the Private Secretary of the highest number of 10 ministers in the Union Ministry,  was also the Secretary of Senior politician HD Deve Gowda when he became the Prime Minister. CK Jaffer  Sharff, Gurupadaswamy, Sanjay Singh, Ramakrishna Hegde, Chamanalal Gupta, Dhananjaya Kumar, MV Rajashekar, Anantha Kumar, Sadananda Gowda, He also served as A Narayanaswamy’s personal secretary.

A notable feature of Bikere Nagesh’s service was the study of various development projects of Karnataka which were to be decided by the Central Government and he advised the Union Ministers accordingly, sanctioned and assisted in their implementation. Above all, he provided guidance and timely assistance to the helpless Kannadigas who were visiting Delhi for the first time. Hundreds of rural youth were helped to get temporary accommodation and railway tickets to Delhi and Bangalore.

Nagesh worked hard for the development of his hometown Sakleshpur and Bikere in many ways. It has been learned from sources that after arrangements are made for public darshan of his body, the last rites will be performed at his native village Bikere.
