National Level School Band Competition is scheduled to be held in Delhi 21-22 January 2024 and 27 girls from PM SHRI KV MEG & Centre, Bengaluru are ready to showcase their scintillating performance there. The young team under the supervision of their teachers will be proceeding to participate in the national level competition today. The brilliant performance by the girls has been possible because of the rigorous and regular practice of 4 months, dedication of the girls, motivation of the school principal Sh. Mr. Lokesh Bihari Sharm, teachers and continuous training support from Army MEG Centre. The team of girls came first at the state level competition held in Mandya in November 2023 and again in Zonal Level competition in Thiruvananthapuram in early December 2023. During the Zonal competition the team was awarded Best Team Work trophy as well. The team did their last day rehearsal in the School in the presence of the principal and training staff. The girls were showered with praises, motivating words and final guides before leaving for the big finals.The team is equally excited and proud of their efforts and those of the supporting teachers and trainers. National School Band Competition at an All-India level for Republic Day Celebrations 2024 is being organized by Ministry of Education in collaboration with Ministry of Defense. Hundreds of schools have participated every year since 2017 when the competition was introduced. The competition is organized at three levels viz. state/UT level, zonal level and National level.
