Mahavir Jayanthi was observed in Sri 1008 Shantinath Jain Mandir at Gudenakatti village of Kundagol taluk with a festive spirit.
Panchamrutha Abhishek was performed to Mahaveer Thirthankar. Later, a procession carrying portrait of Sri Bhagawan Mahavir Tirthankar was arranged in the main roads of the village along with Kumbhmela and instruments.
The naming and cradle ceremony was specially performed. The Jain community distributed food. Community men and women who participated in the function had darshan of Bhagwan Mahavir Thirthankar.
