Hassan Lok Sabha MP Prajwal Revanna and JDS leader Bhavani Revanna have been exonerated from abduction and torture allegations made by their former car driver, Karthik. The complaint, accusing the mother-son duo of coercion, forced land sale, and unauthorized bank withdrawals, was thoroughly investigated by a DySP rank officer who found no substantiating evidence. Karthik, a longtime driver for Prajwal Revanna, had filed a police complaint, alleging that he was forcibly made to sell his 13-acre fields in Holenarasipura taluk of Hassan district in February. According to Karthik, he was allegedly held captive by Prajwal and Bhavani, who compelled him to sign the land documents. Additionally, he claimed that the duo took his signatures on 20 cheque leaves and withdrew money from his bank account. The police investigation, led by a DySP, involved questioning 16 individuals connected to the case. However, no evidence supporting Karthik’s claims was found during the probe. The police report stated that Karthik was given an opportunity to provide evidence, but he failed to do so. Consequently, the investigation concluded that there is no need for further inquiry into the case. The findings dismiss the allegations against Prajwal Revanna and Bhavani Revanna.
