Mysore District In-charge Minister and Minister of Social Welfare Department Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa has informed about organising the ‘Mysore Fest-2023’ on 26, 27, 28th of January 2024 at Openair theatre (Bayalu Rangamandira) of Mysore University. While presiding over the preliminary meeting of Mysore Fest-2023 to be held in the city, at Jaladarshini Guest House on Tuesday. He said, Mysore is known globally for the world famous Mysore Dasara alongwith many sightseeing places and famous products. In this context, to promote the cultural beauty of Mysore’s heritage, tourism entrepreneurship and the pride of Mysore, all the government organizations of the district must promote by using the newly unveiled logo, the aided institutions and other private sectors too, should contribute regarding the same he said. District Collector Dr. K.V. Rajendra said that as part of Mysore First 2023, there will be various cultural programs including Nagari, Dollu, Bharatnatyam by the best art troupes portraying the Mysore heritage, Chitra Santhe for children and adults, flea marketing arrangement has been opted to sell the local products of Mysore which are famous at the global level under one roof in good quality at a specific price. He also informed that programs like fashion show (for promoting sales by sellers of various brands), kite festival, rock band etc. will be organized.
