A manhunt is underway for the sixth suspect, Lalit Jha, who is evading arrest following the breach of Parliament security orchestrated by his associates, according to sources familiar with the investigation. Jha, a teacher from Bihar, is believed to have absconded with the bag containing mobile phones belonging to the four apprehended individuals inside and outside Parliament.
While police suspect Jha may be in either Rajasthan or Haryana, they are employing a combination of technical and manual surveillance, including the examination of CCTV footage, to trace his escape route. Investigators have ruled out connections to any terrorist group but suspect the involvement of a mastermind guiding the accused.
The six individuals involved in the breach were connected through the Bhagat Singh Fan Club page on Facebook, with investigators suspecting external guidance before and during the incident. Puzzling questions remain, such as why the flare canister was kept in hand rather than thrown. The four apprehended individuals handed over their phones to Lalit Jha, who fled with the bag when his associates were caught, suggesting he received directions to do so. The youth who entered the Lok Sabha well, shouting slogans against the government, used a smoke flare during the act. The five arrested suspects have been identified, and the police are questioning Vikram and his wife, as the accused had stayed at their Gurugram residence before the incident. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities seeking to unravel the motives and connections behind the breach of Parliament security.
