2A Reservation Struggle, Kudalasangama Swamiji Gives Two Weeks Deadline To Government

A symbolic protest was held at Rani Channammaji Circle  under the leadership of Basavajaya Mrityunjaya Swamiji of Kudalasangam Panchamasali Peeth demanding 2A reservation for Panchamasali Lingayat Samaj. On this occasion, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah asked for two weeks’ time, and Swamiji said let’s wait till then.

At the start of the protest, protesters showered flowers on the statue of Rani Channammaji standing on the JCB, including non-partisan ministers Shivananda Patil, Lakshmi Hebbalkar, MLAs Basanagowda Patil Yatnal, Vijayananda Kashappanavar, Vinay Kulkarni, Ashoka Managuli, former MLA HM Shivashankarappa, former Minister AB Patil, Shasikanta Naik, leaders RK Patil, Rohini Patil and others expressed support for the community’s protest.

National president of Panchamasali Samaj Vijayananda Kashapanavar said that there is no question of retreating from the struggle. There is a problem with the law about 2A, so nothing can be done until it is withdrawn, he announced.
