Women and Child Welfare Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar informed the Legislative Assembly that steps are being taken to provide their own building to Anganwadis wherever possible in the state.
The Minister answered the question asked by K Shadakshari of Tipatur on Wednesday. A total of 376 Anganwadis are functioning in Tipatur assembly constituency and 274 centers have their own buildings,  62 are in rented buildings,  22 are running in   school campuses. It is being held in 8 community buildings,  3 are taking place in Panchayat buildings. 7   in other buildings. An amount of Rs 364 lakhs has been spent in last 3 years for own building construction, Minister informed.
