In a tragic incident, Preetham N (26), a manager at Parivar Credit Cooperative Society, was found dead by apparent suicide at his residence in Patte Maninje. The incident came to light on December 3. Preetham had been working with the credit cooperative society for five years, serving as a manager for the past three years. After managing the Mangaluru branch for one-and-a-half years, he was recently posted to the new branch in Sullia. On the morning of December 3, Preetham’s mother discovered that he was missing from his room, with his mobile phone and footwear left behind. After a search, his body was found in the well near his house. The police report filed at Sampya police station suggests that Preetham took this extreme step due to frustration in life. Preetham’s untimely death has left his family and the community in shock, and the incident serves as a stark reminder of the mental health challenges individuals may face.
