Hubli
In a move aimed at bolstering public safety and deterring criminal activities, MLA Mahesh Tenginakai inaugurated 52 CCTV cameras installed across 36 wards in Hubli. The cameras are expected to serve as vigilant eagle eyes, operating 24 hours a day to monitor and secure public spaces. Speaking at the inauguration, MLA Tenginakai emphasized the pivotal role that CCTV cameras play in crime prevention. He stated, CCTV cameras work like an eagle eye 24 hours a day. A person who is about to commit a crime, upon seeing a camera, recoils for fear of being caught. Even if a crime is committed, the perpetrator is easily apprehended. The installation of cameras extends beyond main streets to include inner roads, contributing to a comprehensive surveillance network. MLA Tenginakai commended Member Seema Mogalishettara for spearheading the project in her ward and expressed the need for its implementation in all wards with the support of corporation grants. Member Seema Mogalishettara highlighted the importance of CCTV cameras for the security of the local community. She revealed plans to install an additional 50 cameras in the coming days, emphasizing the necessity of grants from legislators to facilitate the expansion of this security initiative. The inauguration event was attended by DCP Rajeev M., Ashoka Nagar Police Station Inspector Kirankumar Thavarageri, and other local dignitaries, signifying collaborative efforts to enhance public safety through technological advancements.
