Bhargav HC: From Humble Beginnings To A Golden Triumph At RDC

Bhargav H C, a talented individual from Bengaluru with humble beginnings, etched his name in Karnataka’s pride by clinching Gold at the revered Republic Day Camp (RDC). His journey commenced in 2019 when he participated in the National Cadet Corps (NCC) RDC, an arduous competition that sees an overwhelming number of cadets vying for a spot but selects only a handful for the prestigious Delhi contingent. With unwavering determination, Bhargav navigated through the rigorous Inter Battalion Competition (IBC) and Pre Inter Group Competition (pre IGC), showcasing his technical music skills and emerging as the “best all-rounder.” His prowess as a lead singer and exceptional musical abilities earned him a prominent role in Karnataka and Goa Directorate’s State team. The path to Nationals began with Pre-RDC camps at Jalahalli Airforce Station, where Bhargav’s fusion of physical endurance and artistic talents set him apart. With support from Col. Iyyappa, he composed ‘Nav Bharath,’ the theme song that embodied his attention to detail in arrangements, instrumentation, harmonies, and choir rendition, culminating in a quality musical masterpiece. On December 29, 2019, Bhargav and the final team embarked from Bengaluru to DG NCC Hq, New Delhi, presenting ‘Nav Bharath’ on January 4, 2020, amidst intense competition. His composition stood out, earning the prestigious Gold Medal and earning praise from Shri. Rajnath Singh, who likened it to a pearl (‘Mothi’). Bhargav’s victory marked a significant achievement after rigorous months of physical, artistic, and creative challenges, ending Karnataka and Goa Directorate’s drought in the Group Song category. The momentous win spurred celebrations at DG NCC HQ and even attracted the attention of Hon. Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi. Recognizing his impressive composition, the Hon. Governor of Goa announced a prize of 2 Lakhs for the Kar & Goa DTE group song team. Bhargav continues to captivate audiences through his concerts, theatrical performances, and music albums, showcasing his multi-artistic talents and unwavering dedication to his craft.
