It is planned to open 3,000 Karnataka Public schools in the next three years in the state, School Education Minister S Madhu Bangarappa said.
He spoke after celebrating the school anniversary and the inauguration of new rooms organised in Government High School, Halesoraba, honoring and congratulating the students who secured the highest marks in SSLC and Class 8 and 9.
With the establishment of KPS schools, children will get all kinds of facilities from LKG UKG to High School with good education including laboratory, library, sports, art, music, culture. Around 600 KPS schools are planned to be opened next year. In the next 3 years, it is intended to establish 3,000 KPS schools, so that each assembly constituency will get about 12 to 18 schools. In a short span of time in history, 13,000 teachers have been appointed in the state and they are already performing their duties. The number of children in KPS schools has increased by 400 percent.
By 2024, 8,500 rooms and toilets will be completed in schools across the state. He told to submit a proposal if there is a need for a toilet here. The Board of Education has decided to conduct the SSLC annual examination in three attempts with a view to providing opportunities to the children. Out of the three examinations, whichever one gets the highest marks will be considered. These opportunities are designed to improve the future of children.
Municipal President A Mehboob Khan, SDMC President Umesh, Soraba Taluk Executive Officer Pradeep Kumar, Omkarappa, office bearers of School Teachers’ Association and others were present.
