Deportation weapon has been used again against coastal Hindu activists. Five Bajrang Dal activists of Dakshin Kannada district have been given deportation notices and instructed to appear before the Puttur Assistant Commissioner. The Bajrang Dal activists who were involved in moral police action were given a notice asking why they should not be deported. A notice has been given to appear before the Puttur Assistant Commissioner on November 22.
Bajrang Dal activists Latesh Gundya, Prajwal, Nishant, Pradeep and Dinesh have been issued notices. Dinesh, Prajwal was responsible for Puttur taluk in Bajrang Dal. Latesh Gundya is the Joint Coordinator of Bajrang Dal Puttur District. The weapon of deportation has also been used against the other two activists, Nishant and Pradeep. Out of these five, except Latesh, the remaining four had one case each. He is accused of being involved in cases of communal riots, cattle-trafficking attacks, moral police harassment.
A request has been made for deportation from Puttur City Police station and Sulya Police station, Latesh has been requested to be deported to Ballari district and Prajwal to Bagalkot district. Deportation notice under section 55 of the Karnataka Police Act, 1953 has been issued. An official deportation order of up to one year is possible after appearing for trial.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, who spoke, said that the Congress government is doing politics of hatred. They are deporting people who are not criminals even if they file a false case. False allegations have been made against our workers in Puttur. Such politics of hate is not right, I condemn it. It has been brought to the attention of the authorities, a deportation notice has also been issued to the person who has a case.
