Money Stolen From Dharmasthala Rural Development Trust, 10 Accused Arrested

Police Commissioner Renuka Sukumar said that they have cracked the theft case that took place on October 24 at the Dharmasthala Rural Development Project Trust office in Raipur and arrested 10 persons. Speaking to media persons, she said, this case was a challenge for the Police. During the inspection of the spot, the Police did not find any clue, including a CCTV camera, she said.

We had formed a special team after discussions with all the senior officials. We had formed a team led by Vidyanagar Sub-Inspector Sangamesh. The team scientifically investigated the case without any traces and managed to crack it in collaboration with all the police. The accused have been arrested and Rs. 85,89,770 including Rs 79,89,870 lakh in cash and cars, mobiles used in the crime, have been seized.  . Three of the arrested accused were working in the trust, she said. Kushal Kumar, Basavaraj and Mahantesh are the arrested accused in the trust. Initially, they planned the theft and committed the crime along with seven other accused. The other accused are Jilani, Parashuram, Rangappa, Manjunath, Kiran, Rajaka Ajyada and Veeresh.
