Tragedy struck in Bengaluru as two separate incidents involving BMTC buses resulted in the untimely deaths of two individuals. Veena lost her life after being struck by a BMTC bus while crossing the road near Shree Sai Garments in Arakere under the jurisdiction of Hulimavu traffic police station. The collision proved fatal, leading to Veena’s immediate demise. In a distressing incident prior to this, a biker identified as Kumar met with a fatal accident in Vijayanagar, Bengaluru. The unfortunate incident occurred when a BMTC bus collided with Kumar, trapping him under the bus’s wheel near Govindarajanagar Baitu Coffee in Vijayanagar. Regrettably, Kumar succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident. Law enforcement authorities from the Vijayanagara police department swiftly responded to the incident, conducting a thorough investigation at the site and subsequently filing a case in connection with the tragic occurrence. These incidents have raised concerns about road safety and the need for stringent measures to prevent such accidents from claiming more lives in the city.
