Dasara, Final Leg Of Kushalathopu Exercise, Elephants Are Ready For Jumboo Savari

The Dasara Jumboo Savari is just a few days away. The final phase of the Kushalathopu exercise was held at the exhibition premises in the city on Tuesday. A total of 12 elephants and cavalry participated in the exercise.

DCF Saurav Kumar said,  on Tuesday, in the third and final phase of the Kushalathopu exercise, we have brought 12 elephants and given rest to new elephants like female elephant Hiranya and male elephant Rohita. The wooden howdah and artillery drills have already taken place. All the elephants have adapted to the situation here. Some of the new elephants were disturbed during the bursting of fireworks and were controlled by the mahouts. This time too, Abhimanyu will be carrying a golden howdah in the jumboo savari. In a few days, it will be finalised which other elephants will take part in the procession. Mahendra, Vijaya and Varalakshmi participated in the Srirangapatna Dasara held on Monday.  In addition to this, Dhananjaya and Bhavya elephants have participated in the Sharannavarathri puja of the palace every day as pattada elephant and nishane elephant, he said.
