In a harrowing discovery that has sent shockwaves through the community, the lifeless body of 28-year-old Shakeel Akhtar Saifi was found at the Sampigehalli police station after he had been missing for five agonizing days. Shakeel, a longtime resident of 3rd Cross Road, Kogilu Layout, had made Bengaluru his home for the past decade, having moved from Bihar. He earned his livelihood as a skilled carpenter employed by an event management company.

The grim revelation unfolded early when local residents reported an unusual and unsettling sight at Martin’s residence, situated in close proximity to Shakeel’s home. Acting on this tip, Sampigehalli police swiftly arrived at the scene. Their investigation led them to a bag concealed in the residence’s toilet. Upon careful examination, the bag revealed the lifeless body of the missing carpenter, Shakeel Saifi.

The nightmarish ordeal began when Shakeel went missing on a fateful Tuesday night. The troubling circumstances surrounding his disappearance prompted his brother to file a missing person report on Thursday. With heavy hearts, the brother positively identified the body discovered in the toilet as that of Shakeel Saifi.

As the community grapples with this tragic loss, the police have initiated a comprehensive investigation, directing their focus on individuals suspected of involvement. To facilitate this inquiry, a case has been formally registered under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 201 (pertaining to the disappearance of evidence related to a crime) and 302 (relating to murder) at the Sampigehalli police station. The search for answers and justice continues as the community mourns the untimely loss of a dedicated carpenter, Shakeel Akhtar Saifi.
