Former Pakistan cricketer Waqar Younis has voiced his concerns about Pakistan’s bowling performance and the captaincy of Babar Azam. In a recent interview, Younis expressed his worries about Pakistan’s bowling, which he considers a departure from their traditional strength. He mentioned that there have been issues with Pakistan’s bowling, and they need to improve in this aspect. In particular, he pointed out that seamer Shaheen Afridi is struggling to find his rhythm and form, emphasizing that Afridi is not bowling well at the moment. Younis also raised questions about Babar Azam’s performances against India and his consistency as a captain. He noted that to be considered a big player, one needs to perform against strong teams and captain effectively. Babar’s captaincy, according to Younis, relied on the bowling performances of players like Shaheen, Shadab, and Haris, who provided crucial breakthroughs. However, with the recent decline in Pakistan’s bowling performance, Babar’s captaincy is facing challenges, and questions are being raised.
