DK Shivakumar Should Stop Cauvery Water To Tamil Nadu’s Third Crop, Kurubur Shanthakumar

Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, who teaches parrot lessons to farmers in the state, should take up the task of stopping the flow of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu for the third crop crop, suggested Kurubur Shanthakumar, State President of the Federation of State Farmers’ Organisations.

As Irrigation minister, he is thinking of strengthening the Union of India. He alleged that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin had sacrificed farmers by releasing water from the state to appeasement him.

A delegation of the Karnataka Water Conservation Committee is going to Delhi to meet the President, Union Water Resources Minister and the Cauvery Authority chief on October 9 and a letter has been written to fix a time, he said.

Republican Party of India National Working President and Samata Sainik Dal State President  Venkataswamy said the state government should not do tamil nadu’s appeasement policy by releasing water forgetting the people of the state.

The protesters continued their dharna for the fifth day, shouting slogans to save Cauvery.

 Venkatesh, Sathish, leader of Dalit organizations,  Gurudeva Narayan of Kannada movement, Usha Mohan of Aam Aadmi Party and others participated in the meeting.
