Must read

In a bizarre turn of events, a man who allegedly orchestrated his own kidnapping, alongside two friends, in a bid to extort Rs 2 lakh from the owner of the factory where he was employed, has been apprehended by the police.

The individuals involved in this unusual drama, Nurullah Khan and his two companions, were located and arrested in Mandya, before being transported to Bangalore. The motive behind this bizarre scheme was Khan’s desire to make quick money by deceiving the factory owner, who had treated him like a son over the past five or six years.

According to the police, Khan initiated the plot by contacting his employer and claiming that he had been abducted by an unidentified group while in a cab. He further asserted that his captors were demanding a ransom of Rs two lakh for his release.

Alarmed by the situation and concerned for Khan’s safety, the factory owner promptly reported the kidnapping to the RT Nagar police on September 27. He also informed the authorities about the phone call he had received from Khan.

Willing to secure Khan’s safe release, the owner expressed his readiness to pay the ransom. However, suspecting foul play, the police decided to monitor Khan’s phone closely. Subsequently, they successfully tracked down the individuals involved and apprehended Khan and his two friends on the same day.

The peculiar case highlights the lengths to which some individuals will go in their pursuit of easy money, even if it involves staging a dramatic kidnapping plot involving friends.
