The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) celebrates its 25th anniversary with the official launch of its BMTC app. The app, set to be unveiled by Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy, provides a real-time tracking system for buses and offers comprehensive information on bus routes and stops. Available in both English and Kannada, this mobile app is designed for public use and aims to enhance the commuting experience for residents and visitors alike. The launch event will also include the release of a commemorative souvenir to mark the 25th anniversary of BMTC. In addition to the app launch, a dedicated canteen for BMTC and Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) employees will be inaugurated at the Kempegowda Bus Terminal. The celebration program will feature various cultural performances and extend support to the families of employees who lost their lives, offering jobs on compassionate grounds. As a special recognition, BMTC will honor drivers who have safely operated buses without any accidents, awarding them with well-deserved silver medals. This commemorative event not only marks BMTC’s milestone but also represents the organization’s commitment to innovation and service excellence in public transportation.
