HP CM Launches Website And Promo For Pre-World Cup Paragliding Competition

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu has officially launched the website and promo for the Pre-World Cup Paragliding competition, scheduled to start on October 26 at the world-renowned Bir-Billing site in Kangra district. So far, a total of 159 participants from 28 countries have registered for the event, which is being jointly organized by the Billing Paragliding Association and the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation. Participants hail from countries such as the US, Australia, New Zealand, France, Sweden, Germany, China, South Africa, Belgium, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Kazakhstan, Norway, Nepal, Vietnam, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Canada, and teams from the Indian Air Force, Indian Army, and Indian Navy. The event has received approval from both the Federation of Aeronautical International Paragliding World Cup Commission and the Aero Club India, the governing body for paragliding in India. Safety is a top priority for the event, with two teams from the Army Adventure Wing and the Indian Air Force Adventure Wing, along with dedicated rescue teams, ready to respond to emergencies. Helicopters will also be available to enhance safety measures. Known as the Paragliding Capital of India, Bir-Billing has gained a global reputation in the world of paragliding. The destination is not only famous for paragliding but also for trekking, mountain biking, spiritual studies, and more. It has attracted renowned paragliders from around the world due to its breathtaking vistas and ideal flying conditions. Please note that the Pre-World Cup Paragliding competition is set to take place in Bir-Billing, Himachal Pradesh, starting on October 26, 2023.
