A passenger traveling on the Vande Bharat Express bound for Chennai experienced a moment of distress when he disembarked at railway station. The train departed from the platform, leaving him stranded on the platform. His predicament was exacerbated by the fact that he had inadvertently left behind his luggage, containing electronic items valued at Rs 4 lakh, inside the train. The passenger, identified as Rahul, had alighted at Katpadi to purchase breakfast on a Sunday morning. Upon realizing his luggage had been left onboard, he promptly alerted railway officials and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) police. An official release confirmed that a complaint was received through the Railway helpline at 7.40 am, reporting the left luggage on the MGR Chennai Central – Mysore Vande Bharat Express (Train No. 20607). In response to the incident, Traveling Ticket Examiner Jayakumar and Railway Protection Force Sub-Inspector Satyanarayan were notified and promptly secured the luggage. After the train reached its destination, KSR Bangalore station, the bag was delivered to the Bangalore RPF post. In the presence of the complainant, the bag was opened and subsequently returned to him later in the day, ensuring a successful reunion with his valuable possessions.
