Sri Krishna Janmashtami Celebrations In Urdu School

The Government Urdu Lower Primary School at Thambrahalli in Hagaribommanahalli taluk is a testimony to Hindu-Muslim unity.  The school celebrated Sri Krishna Janmashtami with great enthusiasm to spread the message of unity. There are 94 students studying in the school, of which 83 are Muslims. The remaining 11 are children from other castes. However, in the school, which has a large Muslim population, the children, dressed as Krishna, Radha and Rukmini, walked in large numbers on the main streets of the village. Speaking on the occasion, Head Teacher L Reddy Naik said that all the festivals including national festivals are being celebrated in the school in a special way. He said that with the cooperation of the villagers and parents of the students of the school, this year too, Sri Krishna Janmashtami has also been celebrated in a special way. SDMC members Reshma, Gulzar, Hazrat Begum, teachers Shakira Begum, Sheikh Mumtaz, honorary teachers Shabina, Sakrahalli Ravikumar and others were present.
