In a notification issued by the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM), residents of Electron City and surrounding areas were informed of a scheduled power disruption on Sunday. The interruption, which lasted from 10 am to 3 pm, was attributed to essential maintenance work being carried out at the Power Management Centre. Specifically affecting Electron City PH 2 Velankini and Electron City Keonics, the power disruption left residents without electricity during the specified hours. The affected areas included Bommanahalli, Konappana Agrahara, Silk Board Junction, Salar Puri Timkin, Hosur Main Road, Vinayak Layout, Electron City First Phase, and Inpossis Sutyamutta. Residents of these localities have been facing recurring power outages for the past several days, leading to concerns about the reliability of their power supply. BESCOM, in response to the inconvenience caused, issued an appeal to its customers for understanding and cooperation. While power interruptions can be frustrating, they are sometimes necessary to perform essential maintenance and upgrade work, ensuring the long-term stability and reliability of the electrical grid.
