A tragic incident unfolded in Basavakalyana town of Bidar district as a 25-year-old police constable, Umesh Naik, took his own life. It is believed that the reason behind this unfortunate incident was a failed romance. Umesh Naik, who had been selected as a police constable in 2021, had been stationed at the Basavakalyana Nagar police station in Bidar district for several months. Originally hailing from the Vijayanagar district, he was suspected to have ended his life due to the pain of unrequited love.
