Govindananda Saraswati Files Defamation Case Against Vidyadas Baba

Hanuman Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust founder Govindananda Saraswathi Swamiji has slapped a fine of Rs 10 crore on Vidyadasa Baba, the outgoing Chief Priest of Anjanadri Anjaneya temple, and his followers in a case filed with the President. He has filed a defamation case.

The Swamiji, through Advocate Anurag Rana, who is representing him in the Supreme Court, has sent notices to Vidyadas Baba and his followers Hampesh Arigol, Madan Kumar, BM Devaraj and Virupakshi for allegedly spreading false rumours against him and wasting precious time of the staff there by unnecessarily complaining to the President’s Office about Anjanadri. He has also sent a complaint to the Police station and requested them to register a case.

Copies of the complaint have been sent to the Chief Secretary to the Government, Minister for Religious Endowments, Commissioner of the Department, Deputy Commissioner of Koppal-Vijayanagar, Superintendent of Police and Tahsildar of Gangavathi-Hospet.The followers of Vidyadas Baba have lodged a complaint with the President alleging that Govindananda Saraswati Swamiji, the founder of The Kishkindha Kshetra Hanuman Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, has formed a trust and travelled across the country to collect money unauthorisedly. Virupakshi has also lodged a complaint with the Gangavathi Tahsildar demanding action against Govindananda Saraswathi Swamiji. In this context, Govindananda Swamiji has initiated legal action.
