In a shocking incident, a woman forest officer committed suicide at the forest department’s quarters in Madikeri. The deceased has been identified as Rashmi (27), a native of Mandya.
She was working as Deputy Range Forest Officer (DRFO) in the forest department. She committed suicide at her residence near Aranya Bhavan in Madikeri on Tuesday night. She was working in Kodagu for the last two years. The exact reason for the suicide is yet to be ascertained. Madikeri City Police visited the spot and conducted an inspection.
