In a shocking incident, a girl was stabbed to death in broad daylight near a college in the city on Monday morning. After some time, it came to light that the girl was seriously injured and was admitted to a local private hospital. It is learnt that the girl who was kidnapped is a first PUC student, she sustained injuries on her hand and shoulder before being abducted in the car.
The Town Police have visited the spot and are collecting information from the locals. According to information, the girl from Pomegranamba village in Kanakapura was on her way to college with her classmates on Monday morning as usual. As the girl came to the entrance of the college, one of the men in a car stabbed her with a knife. The girl, who collapsed in pain, was dragged into the car and fled. Those present at the spot who noticed the incident tried to stop the car by pelting stones at it. However, without stopping the car, they abducted the girl and fled from the spot. The locals had informed the Police about the girl’s abduction. The girl, who was stabbed to death by a youth shortly after the incident, is undergoing treatment at the local Ramakrishna Hospital. The youth who committed the crime was also found at the hospital and is a resident of Pomegranamba village.
After the abduction, the youth took the girl to the hospital in the same car. As soon as the matter came to light, the Police rushed to the hospital and took the youth into custody and are interrogating him. The Police have seized the car used in the kidnapping and are investigating. The condition of the girl is stated to be critical and she is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit. A love affair is suspected to be the reason behind the incident. However, the Police have not commented on the incident.
