Authorities in Delhi’s Dwarka have apprehended a criminal named Vikram who was found to be in possession of a sophisticated German-made weapon, along with four live cartridges and an additional magazine. This arrest comes as part of the police’s ongoing efforts to curb criminal activities in the area. Vikram, who was already wanted in two cases, was reportedly planning to extort money from local businessmen. The Anti Auto Theft Squad (AATS) in Dwarka received a tip-off about his activities and swiftly took action. The police conducted a raid in Tajpur Enclave, Qutub Vihar, leading to Vikram’s arrest. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Dwarka, M. Harshavardhan, stated that a case has been registered against Vikram under various sections of the Arms Act. The authorities are also working to trace the origin of the illegal firearm. During the interrogation, Vikram revealed that he had previously worked as a taxi driver and had come into contact with other criminals. He admitted to procuring the weapon and cartridges after being released from jail, having been previously arrested in both an Arms Act case and a robbery case. The arrest highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to maintain safety and security within the region and prevent the escalation of criminal activities.
