A woman’s elaborate scheme to stage a gold theft with the intention of imparting a lesson to her husband has unravelled, exposing a web of deceit. The intriguing drama came to light as authorities delved into the incident following her report to the Malleswaram police. The woman’s ploy involved purloining a total of 109 grams of her own gold ornaments, which had recently been released from mortgage. The meticulously planned hoax took shape as she discreetly stashed away the ornaments within a scooter. Subsequently, she enlisted the aid of a friend, who collected the scooter, along with the hidden gold. In a surprising turn of events, the woman then lodged a formal complaint with the Malleswaram police, alleging a ‘gold theft’. As law enforcement officers initiated their inquiry, the threads of the charade began to unravel. Their investigation led them to the woman’s friend, Dhanraj, who had absconded with the scooter and the concealed gold. Skeptical of the narrative, the police meticulously examined the call records shared between the woman and Dhanraj. These records were pivotal in confirming their association and actions during the orchestrated event. Subsequent to thorough questioning, the woman eventually conceded to the fabricated nature of her complaint. Her startling confession revealed that her motives were to orchestrate this entire charade as a means of teaching her husband a lesson. The elaborate ruse was designed to impart a stern message, but its unraveling only highlighted the consequences of such misguided actions. As the investigation took this unexpected turn, legal considerations now loom over the case. Authorities are deliberating the appropriate course of action, given that the gold ornaments at the center of the incident legally belong to the woman herself. The situation adds a layer of complexity to the matter, posing intriguing questions about the implications of staging such an event.
