Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi, who leads the fight for justice for Soujanya, said, Dharmasthala means a place where justice is served. Lord Manjunatha and Annappa Swamy will provide justice to Soujanya today or tomorrow. They have put the fight for justice on my shoulders. That is why I have been fighting for 11 years. I am ready for any kind of protest in future also. I do not have the desire to speak on the dais. Providing justice to a girl is my aim, he said. He was speaking at the Janagraha meeting that was held at Shastri circle of the Kundapur City organized by the Protest Committee for Justice for Soujanya Kundapur and Byndoor.Thimarodi further said, anyone who is unjust should not live on this land. Our fight is to punish those who have spilled spots of blood on the face of Lord Manjunatha and Annappa Swamy. Till we get justice, we will fight for it throughout the State and Nation. No one can put an obstacle to this fight. We will not allow it to shake the foundation of Hindu religion. Setting it right is our aim. We are the proponents of Sanatana Hindu Dharma.
A huge protest rally will be held in Beltangady on September 3 in which lakhs of people will gather. The rapists should be hanged till death. We also urge punishment for those who protected the accused, he said.
Addressing the protesters, Kusumavati, mother of Soujanya said, I have been demanding justice for my daughter since 11 years. The rapists who heinously killed my daughter should be punished. Let them investigate the people whom we accuse as the suspects. The whole case needs to be reinvestigated. We are fed up with the threats as we fought for justice. At least now the government should provide us justice.
