Tecchren Batteries To Invest Rs 2000 Crore In 4 Phases

Tecchren Batteries Private Limited plans to establish an artificial intelligence (AI) integrated Li-ion battery cell production unit at Badaganakuppe-Kallamballi Industrial Area in Chamarajanagar District. Tecchren Batteries Private Limited is a subsidiary of  Tecchren Inc. USA, and promoted by Asian and North American professionals with combined experience of more than 100 plus years in technology, operations, finance, policymaking and developing sustainable environment friendly products. The ground breaking ceremony is scheduled for Saturday. Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar is expected to lay the foundation stone while Urban Development Minister Byrathi Suresh and Silk and Animal Husbandry Minister K Venkatesh will be guests. The proposed production line is said to be environment friendly and designed to contribute to Make in India programme and can produce 100 percent recyclable, non-toxic and AI based smart batteries which is first of its kind in the world and introducing most advanced and unique proprietary technologies to produce all kinds of EV and storage batteries. Speaking with media persons at Bangalore Press Club on Thursday, Tecchren Inc Chief Executive Officer Dr CSR Raju has said the construction of the plant would be completed in eight to 10 months and production is expected to commence in 12 months.
