DAVANAGERE

Former Speaker Kagodu Thimmappa said that his party men are not doing Operation Hasta. Speaking to media persons, he said, there is no operation, when there is dissatisfaction in the party, they switch sides. Some are coming to the party on their own. Our party men are not doing the operation, he said.

Reacting to Basanagouda Patil Yatnal’s statement that the government will fall in six months, he said, the government will not fall, it is all a lie and an illusion. The Siddaramaiah-led government is doing well, he said. I will not contest the Lok Sabha elections, I don’t know about Kumar Bangarappa joining the Congress. Ayanur Manjunath has discussed with me about joining the Congress, he said.

There is a good atmosphere for the Congress. The party has come to power with Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar. Efforts are on to implement the new programme. There is a need to solve the problems of the people. Siddaramaiah is doing that. Hariprasad is a good leader and his cooperation is there. I don’t know if they are holding a meeting of the lower castes, in many cases there is a difference of opinion, then it will be okay, he said.

Talking about the change of Chief Minister, he said, the party will take a decision on the change of Chief Minister.  Siddaramaiah will continue now. It is not possible to distribute the power  to many.  Some people get an opportunity, others will have another chance. Everything will be decided by the high command, he said.
