In a surprising turn of events, the Sikkim man’s claim of a violent assault in Bengaluru has been debunked by the city police. Initially portrayed as a case of a brutal attack by alleged bikers, the truth behind the incident has revealed a different narrative altogether. What was initially reported as a grave incident of violence has now been exposed as a fabrication. The ordeal began when a man from Sikkim made headlines by alleging that he had been subjected to a beating by three bikers posing as Chinese nationals. The allegations gained significant traction, given the history of violence in North East India and the sensitivities surrounding such cases. However, as the Bengaluru police delved into the matter, a surprising revelation came to light. Contrary to the initial claims of assault, the police investigation uncovered a complex web of deceit. According to reliable sources within the police department, the victim, Dinesh, had not been attacked at all. Instead, a series of events unfolded wherein Dinesh, after a night of revelry with friends, had become severely intoxicated. This inebriated state led to a fall that resulted in an injury to his head. What emerged from the investigation was a rather unexpected twist: Dinesh, overcome by fear and anxiety about his injury, had orchestrated a false attack story. His motivation was seemingly rooted in protecting his wife from the truth of his drunken fall. Recognizing the hoax after a thorough interrogation, the Electronic City police chose to caution Dinesh before releasing him. The unraveling of this fabricated tale was possible through diligent investigation, which included a thorough examination of CCTV footage from the alleged incident’s vicinity. No trace of the purported attackers could be found in any of the footage, corroborating the lack of a physical attack.
