A shocking incident unfolded in Electronics City as a group of miscreants launched a brutal assault on a 30-year-old man hailing from Sikkim. The victim, identified as K Dinesh Subba, was subjected to a vicious attack that left him seriously injured. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning, has sparked outrage and concern over racial discrimination. Dinesh Subba, a resident of Electronics City Phase 1, had been celebrating his wedding anniversary with his brother and friends. After the festivities, he was riding his two-wheeler back home around 3-4 am on the PCR Garden Road in Doddatogur. Tragically, a group of miscreants confronted him, hurling racial slurs and labeling him as Chinese. Defending his identity, Dinesh responded that he was, in fact, an Indian hailing from Sikkim. However, this plea fell on deaf ears as the attackers immediately pounced on him, armed with weapons. The assault was brutal and unrelenting, leaving Dinesh with severe injuries to his face and head. The attackers fled the scene, leaving him wounded. It was a vigilant security guard from a nearby building who eventually informed the police about the distressing incident. Dinesh was rushed to a private hospital for medical attention, where he received 9 stitches for his wounds on his face and head. Thankfully, he has since been discharged from the hospital and is on the path to recovery. Dinesh’s brother, Deepak Dorjee, who has been residing in the city since 2009, condemned the attack as a racial act. He revealed that the assault took place just 100 meters away from their residence. The family had been celebrating Dinesh’s wedding anniversary on August 14th, and his brother had organized a party on the night of August 15th. Following the attack, doctors advised Dinesh to observe bed rest to aid his recuperation.
