The Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, emphasized the need for a more inclusive approach to shaping the future of technology. He highlighted that the future of technology should not be shaped solely by a few countries and companies. Chandrasekhar mentioned that India Stack, a digital public infrastructure, has transformed the lives of citizens and built trust between the government and Digital Nagriks (Digital Citizens). During the fourth meeting of the G20 Digital Economy Working Group, Chandrasekhar engaged in bilateral discussions with ministerial delegations and senior representatives from countries including Bangladesh, South Korea, France, and Turkey. The discussions focused on potential areas of collaboration such as digital public infrastructures, artificial intelligence (AI), skilling, and cybersecurity. Chandrasekhar’s meetings with various countries explored the possibilities of leveraging India Stack’s success to support digitization efforts in other nations. He emphasized the potential for partnerships between like-minded countries, such as India and France, to assist other countries in their digital transformation journey. Furthermore, Chandrasekhar stressed that collaborative efforts among nations can have a significant impact on the world’s technological landscape. He underscored the importance of inclusivity in shaping the future of technology, advocating for cooperation among a broader range of countries and companies to drive innovation and progress.
