Tragic Mother And Son Suicide; Woman Depressed After Husband’s Death

In a heartbreaking incident near Bannerghatta on the outskirts of Bengaluru, a woman struggling with deep depression following her husband’s demise took her own life along with her seven-year-old son. The tragedy unfolded in Sakalwara village. The victims have been identified as 39-year-old Vijayalakshmi and her son Hariharan, residents of CK Palya in Bannerghatta, Andhra Pradesh. Vijayalakshmi had been grappling with mental depression since the loss of her husband, Ganesh, in a road accident two years ago, as revealed by the police. Trapped in the throes of her emotional turmoil, she reportedly tied her son to her waist before plunging into a nearby lake. The Bannerghatta Police Station has registered a case pertaining to this tragic incident.
