As the nation prepares to commemorate its 76th Independence Day, Bengaluru’s Manik Shah Parade Ground stands adorned and fully prepared for the state-level ceremony. Tushar Girinath, the Chief Commissioner of BBMP, announced that meticulous arrangements have been completed to ensure a seamless event on August 15. Addressing the media during a press conference dedicated to the event’s preparations, Tushar Girinath shared that all systems are go. The Chief Minister is scheduled to make his entrance at 8.58 am, gracing the Parade Ground with his presence. At 9.00 am, the tricolor will ascend as the national flag is proudly hoisted by the Chief Minister. This symbolic act will be followed by a parade inspection and guard of honor, carried out atop an open jeep. In this moment, the Chief Minister will deliver the essence of Independence Day to the nation. A spectacle of unity and patriotic fervor, the ceremony boasts the participation of approximately 1,350 individuals hailing from 38 different contingents. Among these are the spirited children from various schools, adding a youthful enthusiasm to the event’s atmosphere. The proceedings will commence with soul-stirring performances – the enchanting Naada Geeta and the captivating Raita Geeta, presented by the talented troupe led by Pada Devaraj. The cultural symphony will continue with the vibrant Veera Namana dance, an offering by 750 students from the Karnataka Public School of J.P. Nagar, Bangalore South Zone. The celebration’s vibrancy further extends to events like the ‘Veera Bhumi Vidhurashwattha Dzhava Satyagraha’ by 700 children of BBMP Composite Pre-Graduate College, Herohalli, Bangalore North Zone, and the captivating ‘Rope Skipping’ performance by 50 children from Kittur Rani Chennamma Residential School, located in Bailahongala, Belgaum District.
